Six Lincoln Academy Students were winners in the STEM Art Contest hosted by Linc Research. The winner’s artwork will be used as chapter dividers for the STEM Science Lab Guide. We are very proud of Justice, Nate, Isaiah, Aaliyah, Armando, and Savanna! Thank you Mr. Taylor for including us!

Sleeping Beauty Ballet

Our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students were invited to attend the Alabama Youth Ballet’s performance of Sleeping Beauty. Everyone attending felt like a princess or prince for the morning as we attended the most royal wedding and were able to meet the cast and crew after the performance. A special thank you to the Alabama Youth Ballet for allowing us to attend this beautiful production.

MaxNificent! The Polka Dot Pyrenees

We were excited to have Max the Pyrenees come read to the kids at Lincoln Academy. This new book, MaxNificent! The Polka Dot Pyrenees, is a heartwarming lesson of self esteem and acceptance for children young and old, while shining a positive light on the many real characters just waiting to be found in shelters or adoptions through local rescue groups. Holy Spirit School 619 Airport Rd.

From Lincoln Academy: Head South on Meridian St. Turn right onto Pratt Ave. Continue on to Memorial Pkwy and turn left. Continue South on Memorial Pkwy until you see the sign for the Airport Rd. exit. Exit and continue to Airport Rd and take a left. Continue for about ½ a mile and Holy Spirit School will be on your right.

Christian Covenant Academy 3217 Village Dr.

From Lincoln Academy: Head South on Meridian St. Turn right onto Pratt Ave. and continue to Memorial Pkwy and turn left. Continue South until the Drake Ave. exit. Turn right onto Drake Ave. Continue West to Triana Blvd. and turn left. Go .4 mi and turn right onto Village Dr. The gym will be on your left.

Randolph Drake 1005 Drake Ave.

From Lincoln Academy: Head South on Meridian St. Turn left onto Pratt Ave. Turn right onto Andrew Jackson Way. Continue on as it turns into California St. Take a slight left onto Whitesburg Dr. Turn left onto Drake Ave. Go .7 mi and Randolph will be on your left.

From Lincoln Academy: Head South on Meridian St. Turn right onto Pratt Ave. Continue to Memorial Pkwy and take a left. Continue South on Memorial Parkway until you see the sign for the Airport Rd. exit. Exit and continue South for .4 mi and make a U turn under the overpass. Head North on Memorial Pkwy for only .1 mi and Grace Lutheran will be on your right.

From Lincoln Academy: Head North on Meridian St. Turn right onto Oakwood Ave. Go .2 mi and turn right onto the ramp for I 565 West. Take exit 14 B for Research Blvd. Merge onto Research Blvd. and go 2.2 mi. Exit right onto US 72 / University Dr. towards Athens. Continue for 4.5 mi and turn left onto Hughes Rd. Go 1.4 mi and St John’s will be on your left.

Oakwood 7000 Adventist Blvd.

Last night was our first Lincoln Academy Eagles boys basketball game and we rocked the house! We packed the stands with students, cheerleaders, parents, and Lincoln fans. Here are some highlights from our first game. Enjoy!

The Science Lab

The Science Lab at Lincoln Academy has opened its doors to students for the first time this year. The kids are so excited to walk into this magnificent room of expoloration. Our Lincoln Academy Science Lab is drawing national attention and is being considered as a model for other schools throughout the country. What a wonderful way to get the students excited about all that God has created.
